Zhuravskiy, currently rated No. 5 by the WBC Asian Pacific Council and No. 9 by the WBO Asia Pacific, turned pro April 29, 2007, stopping Mirazam Ahmedov in the second round of their fight in Kazakhstan.

After winning his first four pro fights in his native Kazakhstan, Zhuravskiy traveled to Thailand in 2009 for two fights, both first-round knockouts, of Sornsurin Kiatprapas and Pichitchai Kawponkanpim.

Alexander, who has knocked out seven of his nine opponents to date, fought the last three times in Kazakhstan, winning all three in relatively easy fashion, two by KO and the other by a unanimous 6-round decision (60-54, 60-54, 59-55). His last was a fourth-round knockout of Hurid Madaminov in Kazakhstan this past May.

Gayrat is the reigning WBC Asian Boxing Council and PABA Interim light heavyweight champion.

In his non-title fight, main event bout, Ahmedov took on 45-fight veteran Demetrius Davis, who holds upset wins against Joseph Kiwanuka and Brian Norman, and fought a draw with Tommy Karpency. The durable Davis also went the distance with former world champion Eric Lucas and world title challengers Thomas Tate and Omar Sheika. Ahmedov landed the harder and more effective punches to win an 8-round decision.
